Joe and Dwayne in Soho Square, London. June 14th 2013.
These are my two best friends, and this was the last time that all three of us would ever be together, and we miss him like crazy.
I’ve recently re-edited the series I made whilst in Thailand, back in 2010 with my dear friend Joe, who tragically passed away last month. I can quite safely say that I had one of the best times of my life; wandering through the hills all day, drinking rum into the night and hanging out with my favourite dude for a whole month, and I’m feeling very lucky to have had this time with him right now. The full series is over on my website.

My audiovisual essay on the cinematic style of the great British filmmaker Nicolas Roeg is now online. Everything is Permitted: A Study of Nicolas Roeg compares images made by Roeg from his time working as a cinematographer during the 1960s, with those from his own films, as his directorial career flourished into the 1970s. Through looking closely at the use of bold colour (red in particular), the use of zoom and the use of non-linear editing and narration, the film observes the ways in which the director has maintained a strong and distinctive style throughout this transitional period in his career. Major thanks to everybody that has contributed to this in various ways.
Queen’s Park, 2013
I have a bunch of these small postcard prints left after the recent Free Range Art & Design show. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like a couple and hopefully I should be able to hook you up.
Some friends have recently started up a skateboard supply company and, to celebrate the launch of their first batch of products, they’ve put together a 32 page limited edition zine to accompany each order from their online store. The company is named after the spot in Leicester where me and my friends grew up skating, and I have a short interview, as well as a few photographs included. I’m really happy to have work featured alongside a number of very talented artists and good friends, including Dwayne Coleman, Sam Taylor, Kyle Platts, William Wright, Dan Clarke and Thomas Slater. Check out their store and help in supporting a newly formed independent skate brand!
Barn Elms, 2013
I will be showing a selection of photographs from Barn Elms in the Free Range exhibition at The Old Truman Brewery, from June 13th - 17th. A small portfolio of my work is up over on the Free Range website. The full series will hopefully be in book form at some point this year, also.
A couple of my photos are in Super Special Issue 4, published by VUU Collective - available to buy from their online shop
